If your mom taught you that a penny saved is a penny earned, she may appreciate these Mother's Day 2014 freebies and deals.

Through Sunday, May 11, Redbox users can reserve any select movie/game online and get $.50 off a select DVD. The list includes new mom-friendly releases, the company said, like About Time; August: Osage County; and Labor Day, plus movies/games for the whole family, like Mario Kart (for the Wii) and Frozen.

Buy one, get one free Teavana Oprah Chai on Mother's Day in Starbucks stores. Starbucks will make a donation for each Teavana Oprah Chai Tea product sold in participating Starbucks and Teavana stores to benefit youth education through the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation.

Moms can get a free entree up to $10 with any drink purchase at a Hooters restaurant. About 35,000 moms took advantage of the "free entrée" deal last year, the company said.

BloomNation is offering a 15 percent off code for all ABC News fans. The code will be "ABCNEWS15" and will be valid until May 31. Each customer receives a "BloomSnap," which is a photo of the completed arrangement before it's delivered so customers know that what they ordered is what the recipient will receive, through same-day hand delivery service.

Parker & Quinn, located in Refinery Hotel in New York City, will be offering Mother's complimentary desserts upon dining at the restaurant, and Refinery Rooftop will be giving mothers complimentary flowers and chocolates upon entering the Rooftop.

Michaels craft stores are hosting make-and-take craft sessions on Saturday in celebration of Mother's Day. For $2, kids can make a craft for their moms. The sessions last 30 minutes and are geared to kids ages 3 and up.

In honor of Mother's Day, participating restaurants are offering a free dessert of choice with purchase.

The sandwich franchise will be handing out coloring pages to kids in stores and at the bottom of each page is a voucher that moms can redeem for a free 9-inch sandwich or salad from Mother's Day through May 17 at all Capriotti's locations.
