World Cup 2014: Switzerland vs. France live stream, kickoff time and prediction - The Huntsville Times - al.com

It's a marquee match on paper, but Friday's Switzerland-France doesn't have quite the urgency or high stakes as other World Cup 2014 matches this week.

Switzerland will kick off against France at 3 p.m. EST/2 p.m. CT in a Group E match. In what many consider a very weak group, Switzerland and France are the popular picks to advance to the knockout rounds. Both won their opening games and sit in good shape to advance out of the group. The winner of this game would likely win the group, but neither would be unhappy with a draw.

ESPN and Univision will both be broadcasting Friday's Switzerland vs. France match. ESPN will live stream through its Watch ESPN app, but you'll need your cable subscription information.

Univision offers a high-quality, totally free live stream online, but it is broadcasted in Spanish. Check out Univision's Switzerland vs. France live stream here.

Viewers can also tap into international feeds, like the home feeds of Switzerland and France, but will likely need to go through apps like TunnelBear or Hola to get past the IP address block on the U.S. If that's the route you want to take, the France feed is here and Switzerland's is here.

Keeping with the free options is First Row Sports, which is a good spot to pick up international live streams, but can also prompt sketchy pop-up advertisements. Check out First Row's options here.

What to expect in this game? These two countries have a history of finishing in a tie -- A 2006 World Cup opening round match between the two ended 0-0 -- and don't be surprised to see a draw here. As stated above, both countries would likely be fine with a draw and a point because neither Honduras nor Ecuador is in a prime position to advance out of the group.

That said, France is certainly the favorite headed into this match. Switzerland needed a last minute goal to get past Ecuador, while France easily handled Honduras 3-0. Karim Benzema looked brilliant with two goals against Honduras and could provide problems for a shaky Switzerland back line.

Prediction: France 1, Switzerland 1
