Andy from Atlanta has spoken, and it seems that Oklahoma country music superstar Garth Brooks will open his comeback tour in Chicago.

As previously reported, Brooks announced Thursday his plans to record a new album, make his first foray into digital music and launch a comeback tour. He said he planned to announce the launch city for his tour in the coming days — but not until he told Andy from Atlanta.

It seems back at a January Las Vegas show, Brooks promised the persistent fan he would be the first to know the first stop on the comeback trek, so he said he intended to call him with the news on Monday (that’s today).

“And what Andy chooses to do with that information is up to Andy. We’ll make our announcement shortly after,” Brooks said in the Thursday press conference, we streamed live on GarthBrooks.com from Nashville, Tenn. “We made a deal that night in front of the Vegas crowd, so I’m gonna hold up my end.”

In the following days, it became clear that Andy from Atlanta was Andy Roberts, president of TurnKey Facility Maintenance, a full-service facility maintenance company specializing in nightly cleaning, day porter services, floor treatments.

On his company’s website, www.tfm-usa.com, Roberts revealed today that he would be talking to Brooks at about 4:30 p.m. Eastern / 3:30 p.m. Central and would make the announcement an hour later.

With the help of some youngsters from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Zone of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Teammates for Kids, Roberts revealed moments ago via Twitter (@TFMAndy) that Brooks will be starting his comeback trek in Chi-Town.
