Oh no! Only six months after Big Sean and Naya announced their engagement on Oct. 3, Big Sean is already calling it quits. The rapper’s rep released a statement to HollywoodLife.com on April 9, saying, ‘Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off.’
Well, that didn’t last long. Big Sean, 26, has apparently had a major change of heart and decided to end his engagement to Glee star Naya Rivera, 27. Despite new allegations that Big Sean cheated on Naya, his rep insists that the rumor is “simply untrue,” and has nothing whatsoever to do with the couple’s surprising split.

Naya Rivera: Her Jealousy Drove Big Sean To Call Off Engagement
“After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off,” Big Sean’s rep tells HollywoodLife.com in a statement. “The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”
We’re not sure what really caused the couple to split but maybe it’s for the best. And it looks like Naya is already trying to move on because she even unfollowed her ex on Twitter!
Big Sean: Did He Cheat On Naya Rivera?
The news of Big Sean and Naya’s split comes on the heels of a troubling new report in Star magazine alleging that the rapper had cheated on Naya, leading her to call off their wedding.
But an insider confirms to Us Weekly that Sean is the one who broke off the engagement, adding, “Sean did not cheat on Naya and the allegations are 100% false and untrue.”
Naya Rivera: Big Sean Is My ‘Best Friend’
If the cheating rumors aren’t in fact true, we can’t imagine what could be responsible for tearing this once happy couple apart. Sure, Naya and Sean got engaged quickly, after dating for only six months, but they seemed to be a perfect match! Naya even told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY in October, 2013 that she and Sean were inseparable and that they loved doing “everything” together.
“He’s my best friend,” she gushed to us. And when Naya was asked who was on her Hollywood hot list, she only had eyes for her then-fiance — Big Sean’s name was the first and last on her list!
Naya also told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY in July, 2013 that Sean inspired her songwriting. “He is such a talented artist and songwriter in his own respect and right and so yeah, absolutely, he inspires my creativity and I think that’s amazing.”
