Kevin Bacon Recreates 'Footloose' Moves on 'The Tonight Show'
Actor celebrates film's 30th anniversary after Jimmy Fallon bans dancing on the set
It's been 30 years since Kevin Bacon conquered repression in a small town with his infectious dancing in Footloose, but the dude still has the moves. On the Tonight Show last night to promote his TV show The Following, the 55-year-old actor celebrated his breakthrough movie's anniversary with a shot-by-shot recreation of his dancing montage to Moving Pictures' "Never."

Fallon first set up the scene by banning dancing on the Tonight Show set. "It's a bummer," he acknowledged, "but rules are rules." Bacon caught the news from his dressing room backstage, where he happened to be relaxing in a tight gray sweatshirt. "Jump back! This is the 'Tonight Show,' there has to be dancing," he said, quickly smoking a cigarette and smashing a beer bottle against the wall before launching into Ren McCormack's dance of rebellion.
Along the way, Bacon managed to transition into a tuxedo and pick up a crew of backup dancers to make his grand entrance onto the set, with Kenny Loggins' title track playing him in. And thus ended Jimmy Fallon's cruel edict against dancing on The Tonight Show.
